Employers urged to take part in online survey
Employers across the Sunshine Coast and Wide-Bay Burnett regions have been urged to take part in a web-based survey designed to help meet the skills requirements of businesses.
The survey is being conducted jointly by the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) and the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) as part of a project to optimise the delivery of higher education in the two regions.
This optimisation project aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of how higher education is delivered, and to respond to the needs of each region as they grow and develop.
In the survey, which will close on Friday 21 November, employers are asked to describe their short, medium and long-term goals, along with what they believe are the drivers and barriers of industry and organisations.
The survey also includes questions about regional barriers and opportunities and the communities’ education and employment needs over the short, medium and long term.
The project aims to address supply and demand issues for skilled workers on the Sunshine Coast and in the Wide Bay-Burnett region, and to enhance university engagement activities and the provision of study programs.
To participate in the web-based survey and potentially win one of three $100 Coles/Myer gift vouchers, contact the Regional Projects Management Hub at the University of the Sunshine Coast on 5459 4892 or via email <rpmh@usc.edu.au>.
