The cash prizes are $125 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third and entry to the event is free.
Competitors will gather near the USC Library steps for the start of the race. The winners also will receive the Dean Van der Helm Memorial Shield which will be presented by Dean’s family.
The University will continue its Orientation Week activities today with plenty of academic and social activities on the agenda.
These include information sessions, campus tours, a free lunch and more fun and games.
