Last-minute advice about study options
The University of the Sunshine Coast will hold its annual Options Evening on Monday 21 December to provide last-minute advice for people intending to study at USC in 2010.
USC’s External Relations Manager Kylie Russell has encouraged all potential students to come along and get their questions answered.
“If you want to know your options at USC, this is your chance to talk one-on-one with academics and admissions and support staff, or to take campus tours with current students,” Ms Russell said.
“There will be a wealth of information on admissions, applications and alternative pathways to University; fees and financial support; careers counselling and much more.”
She said the evening would particularly help those who chose USC as a QTAC preference for 2010 but were waiting on their OP scores. Almost 8,000 people put USC as a preference this year, a 20 percent rise on last year.
“More than 1,500 potential students attended last year’s event and found it very beneficial,” she said.
Ms Russell said it was a great opportunity for students to explore study options, learn about new courses and find out how to study overseas as part of a USC degree.
The University next year is offering more than 100 undergraduate and postgraduate programs including hundreds of courses. A Bachelor of Education (Primary) is the latest addition.
Prospective students can attend any time between 4pm and 7pm on Monday 21 December at Ground Floor, Building C. They can register online or call (07) 5456 5000.
