Sport identities to be honoured at USC
The Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame will induct two new members at a special ceremony at the University of the Sunshine Coast tomorrow (Thursday 12 November).
The Hall of Fame inductees and two Certificate of Merit winners will be celebrated for their outstanding involvement and contributions to sport on the Sunshine Coast.
Previous inductees have included Pat Rafter, Mal Meninga, Clint Robinson, Brendan Burkett, Grant Kenny, Lisa Curry, Ian Baker Finch, Darren Obah, Kerri Thomas and Glynis Nunn-Cearns.
The Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame Awards are sponsored by the University of the Sunshine Coast, Seven Local News, 92.7 Mix FM, the Sunshine Coast Daily and the Queensland Government Department of Communities (Sport and Recreation Services).
The ceremony also will include the unveiling of a revamped Hall of Fame display in USC’s Health and Sport Centre foyer, featuring all Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame inductees since the ceremony was first held in 1991.
