USC examines direction of property market
Want the latest advice on how to become a successful local property investor?
A host of industry experts including high-profile national commentator Michael Pascoe will examine the south-east Queensland property market at a two-day seminar at the University of the Sunshine Coast in July.
USC Professor of Property and Development Mike Hefferan, who will be a presenter, said the industry had changed significantly since USC held its first “Understanding Contemporary Property” course last year.
“However, the economic fundamentals of the Sunshine Coast and its property sector are sound despite global financial volatility,” he said. “It really depends on what owners, developers, investors and property professionals do from now, that will make a remarkable difference into the future.”
Professor Hefferan said the popular seminar provided in-depth assessment of current conditions relating to the development of property in this region.
He said a range of industry and academic speakers would cover issues ranging from understanding feasibility studies and project management to a prognosis for the local property market based on current influences.
“It will be highly interactive and include comprehensive written lecture material,” he said.
The course is open to the public and accredited with some organisations for continuing professional development.
It will be held on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 July 2009. To register call 3892 6604, email yolande@loucherie.com.
