USC takes careers ideas on road
Budding tertiary students interested in more than 100 degrees offered by the University of the Sunshine Coast can examine their options at an expo at Tanawha on Tuesday 20 July.
“If you’re keen to study programs in Arts and Social Sciences, Business, or Science, Health and Education, our staff will provide guidance and information,” said USC External Relations Manager Kylie Russell.
Ms Russell said the Sunshine Coast Daily Careers Expo would be held in two segments, from 10.30am to 2pm and from 4pm to 7pm, at the Kings Champion Centre.
“This year, in addition to careers advisers, academics and admissions staff, we will also have students giving their perspective on the USC experience,” she said.
“We get a lot of questions about programs such as psychology, nursing, education, health and sport, journalism, paramedic science, nutrition, computer-based design, civil engineering and property economics and development.”
USC also is taking its information on the road to five further regional Careers Expos, at Gympie (21 July), Fraser Coast (22 July), Bundaberg (23 July), Toowoomba (27 July) and South Burnett (29 July).
School leavers, mature-aged students, undergraduates and postgraduates can find out about gaining entry to university, support services and the popular Global Opportunities (GO) Program which enables students to spend a semester or two studying overseas.
The Kings Champion Centre is on the corner of Crosby Hill Road and Tanawha Tourist Drive, Tanawha.
