Have your say in housing choices survey

6 September 2010

Sunshine Coast residents are invited to have their say on housing choices in the region by participating in an online survey being conducted by the University of the Sunshine Coast.

The anonymous survey is part of a collaborative “Housing Choice Research Project” involving USC’s Project Management Centre, the Sunshine Coast Regional Council's Housing Affordability Taskforce, and Investa Property Group.

It could lead to the development of an affordable housing model for Sunshine Coast residents.

The survey, which takes about 10-15 minutes to answer, will close on Friday 10 September.

USC Professor of Property and Development Mike Hefferan said information gathered from the survey would help assess the public’s views on issues like housing affordability and higher-density living.

“Housing affordability and the alignment of housing supply with real future demand are critical issues for the Sunshine Coast region,” he said.

“The results of this online survey will enable the identification of hard data and facts to put towards this debate.”

For more details about the survey, contact Sophie Barnard at the USC Project Management Centre on (07) 5459 4662.
