Information event for north Brisbane residents

USC staff will be on hand to answer questions

21 May 2010

North Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region residents will have an opportunity to find out all they need to know about studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 2 June.

The University will hold a special information evening from 5.30-7pm at the North Lakes Community Centre, Lakefield Drive, North Lakes.

USC staff and current students will be available to talk one-on-one with prospective students and answer any questions they might have. Visitors are welcome to arrive any time between 5.30pm and 7pm.

“If you’d like to find out what USC can offer you, join us for this informative evening in North Lakes,” USC’s External Relations Manager Kylie Russell said.

“You can learn more about our industry-focused degrees, our experienced and award-winning academics, student support services and overseas study opportunities.

“USC has become a popular study destination for students from north Brisbane as they prefer our relaxed campus, the personal experience and leaving the stress of travelling into Brisbane behind.

“More and more students are discovering the benefits of heading north for a quality education and a better lifestyle.”

Ms Russell said visitors to the information event at North Lakes will be able to find out how to apply to study at USC and about the financial support and government assistance available to students.

“You can also discover how university is still an option if you don't meet the formal admission requirements. Successful completion of our Tertiary Preparation Pathway program guarantees you entry into most USC degree programs.”

Bookings for the information event are essential by emailing <options @usc.edu.au> on phoning (07) 5456 5000.
