Hundreds attend USC’s annual Careers Fair

25 March 2011

About 800 students attended the University of the Sunshine Coast’s fourth annual Careers Fair on campus yesterday (Thursday 24 March).

The event provided USC students with opportunities to informally network with about 30 prospective employers and boost their employment skills and prospects.

It also gave employers a chance to meet potential interns and staff and gain a face-to-face understanding of what students are learning at USC.

Exhibitors yesterday included representatives of local and national companies and government departments who provided information about a diverse range of career options for graduates.

These ranged from work available in finance, construction, education, tourism and health, to careers in law and order, local government and within Australia’s Defence Forces.

Companies seeking details about next year’s Careers Fair can contact Melissa Sheridan on 5459 4822 or at MSherid2@usc.edu.au
