Two bodies of work open at USC Gallery

Untitled by Aaron Hill

6 May 2011

Two quite different exhibitions, with the common theme of anatomy, are attracting plenty of interest at the University of the Sunshine Coast Gallery.

Illustrator Aaron Hill’s confronting exhibition,The Anatomy of the Incomplete, features a series of drawings and installation works based on his doctoral research in Visual Art and Design and Creative Writing at USC.

And Memory Sense, by Brisbane artist Judy-Ann Moule, focuses on the body and the memory of touch.

Both exhibitions were officially opened last night (Thursday 5 May) and will remain on display at the gallery until Saturday 4 June.

Hill’s exhibition was opened by USC’s Associate Professor of Creative Writing Dr Gary Crew, while Dr Mark Pennings, a lecturer at QUT Creative Industries, opened the exhibition by Moule.

The USC Gallery is located at the University campus on Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs. It is open free to the public from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and closed Sundays and public holidays.

The 2011 University of the Sunshine Coast Gallery program is proudly supported by Coastline BMW and the Kurtz family.
