University’s IT director awarded fellowship
The Australian Computer Society has awarded a fellowship to the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Director of Information Technology Services Maureen Klinkert.
This prestigious award recognises Ms Klinkert’s 33-year contribution to information and communication technology (ICT) in Australia.
The fellowship citation states that Ms Klinkert “has made a distinguished contribution to ICT through her sustained leadership and achievement in both the private and public sectors across four industries for more than three decades”.
“She has inspired and mentored many ICT professionals to consistently exceed benchmarks and transform their organisations,” the citation said.
“In the past 15 years, she has successfully overseen major ICT project implementations in both the government and higher education sectors on the Sunshine Coast.”
Ms Klinkert said becoming a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society was a great honour for her.
“It is good to be recognised by people who are both in your industry and passionate about it,” she said.
