Nursing Science is USC’s most popular degree
The Bachelor of Nursing Science has continued its reign as the University of the Sunshine Coast’s most sought-after study program.
USC has offered 269 places to new Nursing Science students in Semester 1 this year, following offers made by QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) today.
The degree was introduced in 2007 and has been USC’s most popular since.
Nursing Science is followed by the Bachelor of Business (174), Sport and Exercise Science (142), Paramedic Science (134), Primary Education (126), and Psychology (109) as USC’s top programs for 2012.
A total of 2,744 offers have been made to date for places at USC starting Semester 1, 2012, and that figure is likely to pass 3,000 when Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) offer rounds are completed next month.

Eighty percent of successful QTAC applicants who wanted to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast received their first preferences.
The 2,744 offers for places at USC include 2,086 to applicants from the Sunshine Coast and neighbouring regions, along with 421 to residents from other areas of Queensland (including Brisbane) and more than 200 from interstate.
