Shizuka Wakasa
Home country: Japan
Program: English Language Programs
USC's picturesque campus helped convinice Shizuka Wakasa to study in Australia.
“I saw USC campus pictures; they had lots of green and lots of kangaroos. I got the impression that I would be able to study English in a good and natural environment," she says.
USC International staff helped Shizuka with her enrolment, while she also drew on the services of Student Central.
“I had some difficulties with my study, staff in Student Central gave advice and also helped me to fix my assignments," she says.
Shizuka found the English Language Programs tutorials “very new and fresh” and the English was intensive at each tutorial.
USC’s library was just the size to make finding resources easy.
“It is a good place to study, and the 24-hour computer labs are very useful," Shizuka says.
By joining social activities hosted by USC, Shizuka got to know other students.
“I joined the Welcome party and some BBQ’s. I really like the Welcome party and made a lot of friends at the event.
“My home university introduced me to the accommodation, it’s a good experience to live with people from other countries and to have conversations with them," she says, of her accommodation at Uni Central, the private student accommodation a short walk from the campus.
“At USC you can make many international friends from France, Germany, USA and Canada. Study at USC gives you unforgettable experiences!”
