Home country: USA
Fourth year Microbiology student Jennifer Harris chose Study Abroad at USC because it was important to participate in a program that offered the courses she needed.
“I plan to pursue Marine Studies in graduate school, so I needed to study in a location that focused on those studies,” Jennifer says.
“My favourite course is Integrated Marine Systems. I like how it’s preparing us for working in the field.”
USC International staff have helped Jennifer with all her individual needs. “They’ve (USC International staff) helped me figure out my schedule, where classes are, and anything else I have needed to know,” she says.
Jennifer is successfully balancing the academic work with the cultural experience in Australia. “There’s no messing around when it’s time to hit the books, but it gets easier to carry as time goes on,” she says.
“Watching the kangaroos has to be the best, and I really like going to the beach in Mooloolaba if I need to relax.”
For an experience of a lifetime, Jennifer recommends Study Abroad at USC. “I would suggest studying at USC to others. I would suggest this, because I know it would be one of the best experiences of their lives,” she says.
