Kudzanai Makura
Home country: Zimbabwe
Program: Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning)
Kudzanai Makura wanted to study finance and felt that the rapidly growing Sunshine Coast area would be an ideal place to do it.
“I was attracted to Australia due to an interest in Australian financial services. The Sunshine Coast, in particular, was appealing as it is a new growth area with significant opportunities,” Kudzanai said.
Kudzanai likes the individual attention and practical focus in course delivery at USC.
“I like the small class sizes and the low student population where you get to know just about everyone.”
“The programs here are more career focused with a greater orientation toward real world practice in addition to theory,” he says.
Kudzanai finds the Sunshine Coast region offers a quality lifestyle.
“Student accommodation is equipped well above average standards, having had the chance to compare them with accommodation facilities at other universities,” he says.
“Spending the day at the beach on a sunny day or shopping at the Sunshine Plaza are great ways to relax.”
Postgraduate study at USC is a future goal for Kudzanai and he recommends study at USC to others. "I would be interested to continue my studies and complete an MBA at USC,” he says.
“I would recommend anyone wishing to study in Australia to consider USC. It offers quality programs and is an ideal environment for adjusting to the Australian way of life in a relatively slow paced coastal area.”
