Anzac Day message

This year Anzac Day will take many forms across the country as we abide by the ongoing COVID 19 restrictions. There will be an opportunity for all to take part in commemorations, whether that is at home, on the street or at a local dawn or commemorative service. I encourage you to pause during the day to remember the service and sacrifice of our brave service men and women who have served and continue to serve our Nation. The spirit of Anzac – with its qualities of sacrifice, ingenuity, and endurance – remains relevant for our sense of national identity. The Anzac tradition, bequeathed to all Australians and New Zealanders by our Anzacs, continues to provide motivation and inspiration to us all.

Lest we forget.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK, AFC (Ret'd)
