Magdy Youssef

Adjunct Fellow in Urban Design and Town Planning

Magdy Youssef is the Principle Urban Planner with MYP Consultants, providing services in structure plans, specialist advice, sustainable development and urban improvements.

Magdy previously worked as the Director, Planning and Development for Lusail City, Doha, Qatar from 2007 until 2016, where Magdy was the founder and director of the Planning and Development department and successfully masterplanned and developed a new waterfront city on the outskirts of Doha for 200 000 residents.

Magdy has also held several senior planning and managerial roles across local and state government bodies in Australia, including Maroochy Shire Council, the City of Melbourne and the City of Malvern.

Qualifications

Master of Town Planning, Syd; Bachelor of Architecture, University of Geneva; Diploma of Community and Regional Planning, Polytechnique School of Lausanne, Switzerland.
