Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic

Due to COVID-19, the USC Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic is making some changes in order to continue to provide the community with food and nutrition related support. The Clinic will now be using online Telehealth consultations. These consultations are able to be conducted from the safety of your own home whilst maintaining social distancing and isolation directions from the Government. Additionally, while the clinic is using Telehealth consultations, due to COVID-19, sessions will be free of charge for all clients.

The Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic offers individualised dietary advice using evidence-based information and practice.

The clinic is conducted by final year Nutrition and Dietetic students under the supervision of Senior Dietitians.

Dietitians are able to assist you with the management of a wide range of medical and nutrition concerns including:

  • Diabetes-type 1 and 2 as well as Gestational Diabetes
  • Gastrointestinal disorders—Reflux, Coeliac, Constipation, Diverticulitis
  • Heart Disease-Cholesterol management, high blood pressure
  • Cancer treatment
  • Pregnancy nutrition
  • IBS -FODMAP diet
  • Kidney disease
  • Underweight and malnutrition
  • Children and Teens — overweight and underweight
  • Respiratory disease — Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary, lung disorders
  • Weight management — via Weight Management clinic (with Ex physiology) or individual consultations

We will work with you to provide education and support to help you achieve your health goals and understand how simple healthy eating can be!

Additionally, if you are struggling with coping and managing food and nutrition during COVID-19, the USC Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic can help you by providing strategies for:

  • Eating healthy during COVID-19
  • Food access and shopping tips in isolation
  • Shopping on a budget
  • Food storage and safety
