Fraser Coast students to compete in first Great Court Race

Students and staff at USC Fraser Coast are gearing up for the inaugural Great Court Race this Thursday.

Headlining the event will be individual men’s and women's races, with the runners competing over a 600m circuit around the Hervey Bay campus for the titles of 2020 Great Court Race Champions.

There will also be team events for students and staff, with prizes awarded to first, second and third placed runners in the individual races and first place in the team races.

While the race action promises to be fast and furious, elsewhere on campus the vibe will be much more relaxed.

To coincide with the Great Court Race, USC will host a range of activities from 11.30am-1pm to encourage students to take time out to recharge and renew.

Complimentary massages and free hotdogs are part of the activities which will give students the chance to touch base with peer groups and USC services at the Fraser Coast campus who are able to support their mental health and wellbeing.

The race at the Fraser Coast is part of a new USC Great Court Race series with Sunshine Coast and SouthBank campuses also hosting events over the past week.
