Regional artist Rex Backhaus Smith presented an exhibition of some new and some older works based around his visits to outback Australia.
Despite numerous overseas trips to experience art in all corners of the globe, Backhaus Smith returns almost obsessively to the bush he grew up in. He frequently re-explores different Australian landscapes in wet and dry, day and night, summer and winter.
His paintings portray the topography, flora, fauna and history of this amazing land.
