Friday 10 May
Join artist Nicole Voevodin-Cash for a morning walk around USC’s Sunshine Coast campus during which you will carry a billy can equip with pen and paper that will record your movements through time and space.
M.A.D.E. Walking is an ongoing project by Voevodin-Cash. It aims to undo a static, singular viewpoint of the landscape and emphasises the embodied and temporal aspects of perception. The resulting drawings are like signatures—each reveals the different qualities and characteristics of an individual and how they move through the world.
The walk will conclude with a light breakfast and a sharing of the drawings.
The walk will commence promptly at 8am and leave from USC Art Gallery.
Nicole Voevodin-Cash is an Australian artist, designer and landscaper based on the Sunshine Coast. Her research-driven practice explores concepts of art as landscape and landscape as art.
Please note this event will be photographed. Photos taken may be reproduced by USC in print and online. Please speak with staff at the event if you do not wish to be photographed.
