Master of Financial Planning 2009

Master of Financial Planning graduate Amanda Cassar is the Director of Wealth Planning Partners. She is a licensed Financial Adviser through Financial Services Partners (FSP) and sits on their Advisory Board representing about 50 Qld FSP planners.

Amanda was a national finalist for the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Female Excellence in Advice Awards. She holds leadership roles on various industry boards and committees, including Chair of the AFA Gold Coast Chapter, and Qld AFA Inspire committee, supporting women in financial services.

Amanda is a regular contributor to CEO Magazine online, Business Women Media, and received the Conversationalist Prize from the The Financial Standard for ‘most influential user in social media in Australia in finance’.

Amanda has recently co-founded Trusted Aged Care Services to assist the elderly and their families to understand their options for staying at home longer or transitioning into residential aged care facilities.

She is currently writing a book to increase awareness of the value of financial advice and to raise financial literacy levels, interviewing prominent business people, finance professionals and everyday Australians to find out the best advice they have ever been given and how they manage their finances.

Amanda sits on the Qld Development Board for the Hunger Project, supporting those suffering from chronic, persistent hunger with a hand-up, rather than a handout. She has visited rural communities in Malawi and Uganda raising over $25,000 in donations for this cause.
