Wellbeing and Self-Care: A Creative Arts Mindfulness Approach
Presenter: Dr Mark Pearson. A Senior Lecturer in Counselling at USC, postgraduate program leader and Director of the USC Counselling Clinic.
This program reviews the need for self-care to avoid compassion fatigue and burn out. How to recognise signs of impending burn-out, and actions to be taken. A combination of organisational, mindfulness-based and creative arts responses will be explored, including workload adjustments, simple and quick mindfulness time-out activities, use of self-reflection journals, visual arts and imagination.
