Amy Stephenson

High school attended: Fraser Coast Anglican CollegeĀ

Degree: Bachelor of Nursing ScienceĀ

Target graduation date: 2021

My journey: I returned to study after a long break. During this time, I became a mother and worked in the fitness industry as a gymnastics coach. I gained entry into University after completing an exam through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). I chose to study Nursing as I could not imagine a more rewarding career than one that positively impacts the lives of other people on a daily basis.

Career aspirations: Once I complete my degree, I plan to work as a Registered Nurse whilst pursuing further study in the field of medicine. My ultimate goal is to become a doctor.

Why did you become an Ambassador? I became an Ambassador with the hope of inspiring future students about the opportunities on offer here at USC. After postponing University until the age of 27, I know how easily the fear of failure can set in. I want to encourage both current and future students to do what it takes to turn their dreams into goals, and their goals into reality.

What do you like about USC? USC has a strong sense of community and wellbeing. The support and encouragement shared amongst students and teaching staff is second to none!
