Degree: Bachelor of Nursing Science

Target graduation date: 2021

My journey: During my high school years, I struggled a lot with not knowing what I wanted to do with my future. I became very anxious and this resulted in me having to leave and not complete high school. I went into full time work in Events, but as I got older and found my passion, I realised I wanted to pursue a career in Nursing. I was very nervous about applying to University, as I had not had an ideal high school experience and had not studied for over five years. When I was accepted into USC as a mature aged student, I was very excited for my future and to be involved in such a rewarding career path. USC has been extremely accommodating throughout my enrolment process, guiding me and answering all of my questions. As I have gone through and completed my first year in Nursing, I have received some amazing marks and have proved to myself how capable I am. I know that a lot of current high school students would be in the same position as I was and I would love to be able to share my experience, in the hope to inspire them.

Career aspirations: Once I have graduated from USC I am going to do another course in cosmetic nursing as I aspire to work in the cosmetic industry. I also hope to practice as a theatre nurse in my future as well.

Why did you become an Ambassador? I want to help inspire other prospective university students and help them realise their potential. USC has been incredibly supportive of me during my university journey and I would love to encourage other people to come and experience that same support.

What do you like about USC? I love the community environment USC provides to all students and staff, making the learning environment more inclusive and relaxed and creating a better learning experience.
