We facilitate clinical trials to bring advanced treatments and therapies, to improve access to cutting-edge medicine.

Our trials are undertaken for our community, with participation by our community, and we choose to undertake trials that help respond to their needs.
As part of this, we consult with consumers and community members early, often and meaningfully as part of our work to develop, design and facilitate clinical trials.
With involvement from past participants, carers, key industry advisors and community groups, we have developed a range of patient partnership initiatives that allow us to learn from lived experiences, and together, co-create better ways of undertaking medical research.
It’s all part of our people-centric approach.
Participants first
Our participants are pivotal to the success of our clinical research endeavours, which is why much of our planning and service delivery is centred on patient experience, safety and outcomes.
- We educate and inform our community on the importance of clinical trials and access to advanced therapies
- We promote the acknowledgement of clinical trial participants in the final publication of clinical trial results
- Every participant in our trials receives a lay summary of the clinical trial results to inform them of their participation and outcomes of the research study
- We ensure that participants are not ‘out of pocket’ for the costs involved in attending clinical trial visits
- We ensure – that with the participant’s consent – the treating/referring physician and family are kept informed of progress
- We seek feedback from our trial participants to measure and improve our service
- We coordinate consumer-facing advisory boards on behalf of our sponsors to develop and design how we run clinical trials
