The Green House

For the 10 days of this year's Horizon Festival, The Green House, a public art piece will take up residence at USC.

An ephemeral public art piece, The Green House comments on society's consumption of single-use plastic and the resulting negative impact on greenhouse gas emissions.

The walls and ceiling of The Green House are clad in ocean-inspired images and bushland shapes made from translucent recycled plastic. By day, you're invited to enter the space and interact with the artwork and by night, see the work come alive through a colourful and immersive light projection display. On Friday evenings, The Green House will transform into an interactive playground with light and motion capture.

Dates: Friday 24 August – Sunday 2 September 2018

Time: Daily, with projections 6.30–9.30pm
