EMERGE is designed to engage students in conversations that raise awareness of their personal values, strengths, skills and aspirations. As a result, they can start to plan a pathway that will enable them to utilise their unique toolkit in the journey towards realising their aspirations and optimum potential. This pathway may or may not involve accessing further and higher education.
EMERGE is a four-lesson module that is delivered on campus at USC Sippy Downs as an immersive field experience. The entire Year 8 cohort is invited to spend the day unpacking their personal toolkits through interaction with the EMERGE website in USC computer labs and tutorial-style sessions, games, group work and discussion.
EMERGE complements the progression of the primary years EXPLORE suite and is designed to value-add, not replace, the Australian curriculum learning sequence.
