High school attended: Xavier Catholic College, Hervey Bay
Degree: Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)
Target graduation date: Mid 2019
My journey: Since beginning high school, I knew that I wanted to go to university. In grade 10 I recognised that business was the area I wanted to study and received early entrance into University of Southern Queensland when I was still in grade 12. I couldn’t afford to move down to Brisbane like many of my friends so I stayed local. In 2016 I transferred to USC Fraser Coast.
Career aspirations: My plans for the future include possibly coming back to USC once I graduate from my current degree to study teaching so I can teach business. I would also love to travel and work overseas.
Why did you become an Ambassador? I really wanted to let other people know who are thinking about coming to university but aren’t 100 per cent sure that it’s not as scary or hard as they think. I also remember being that little school kid that was feeling confused and uncertain about university and wish I had the chance to interact with actual current students of universities when making my university decision.
What do you like about USC? I love the personal feel of the university and having smaller class sizes so that you can get to know everyone. The lecturers and tutors are so amazing and go above and beyond to make sure you succeed and excel at USC. Not only have I learnt lots from the courses I have studied, but also from the people I have studied with along the way.
