High school attended: Shalom College Bundaberg
Degree: Bachelor of Nurtrition
Target graduation date: 2021
My journey: I graduated high school on 15 November 2018 and packed up my bags and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 16 November to study Tertiary Preparation Pathway Program (TPP) chemistry over the summer break. I wanted to do this to brush up on my chem knowledge before I get into the nitty-gritty of my Bachelor.
Career aspirations: I hope to one day be working in the field of nutrition in some capacity. Whether that is working with athletes, public health, being a clinician or conducting my own research. I am really interested in the way that nutrition plays into and effects every part of our lives. From how we function to how it effects our health and overall quality of life. I am really keen to learn everything that the Bachelor of Nutrition course at USC has to offer me.
Why did you become an Ambassador? I am one of the official USC vloggers and through that was picked up to be an ambassador. I am really keen to show people the real life journey of a uni student and give people an insight into what uni might be like for them.
What do you like about USC? One of the reasons I was really drawn to USC was how environmentally conscious they are. Just from things like not selling bottled plastic water on campus, having refillable water bottle stations, the cool looking bins that have pictures on them to help you sort your rubbish and heaps of other things like that, I personally thought was such a cool mentality around the uni. Creating an environment in which the staff and students believe that looking after the world around us, by taking small actions, is in fact important and necessary. Also I have not yet met one person who hasn’t been so kind, friendly and helpful. USC radiate such good vibes.
