Your Orientation Checklist
Find out where to begin enrolling in your courses (hint: check out your Study Sequence on your Program information webpage) and classes so you can plan your study and ensure you graduate on time.
Select your class times via USC Central when class selection opens. If you need some help, follow the Enrol in your courses and select your class times guide or go to How do I enrol?.
Once you have enrolled in your courses, there are compulsory modules you need to complete before you start your studies. Complete your modules early so that you can apply these values throughout your learning experience.
Set up your student email, download Microsoft Office 365, and get familiar with our IT systems.
Find out how to use Zoom for learning so you know what to do in your online sessions.
Say cheese! Request your Student ID card so you have access to parts of the University and start reaping the student benefits!
Understand what uni will cost, your financial obligations, how to pay your fees.
Your course outline includes important information such as course description, schedule, learning/assessment tasks, prescribed texts and recommended readings. Course outlines will be available from two weeks prior to classes starting. Login to Canvas using your student username and password and select a course from your Dashboard to view your course outline.
Check the Academic Calendar and save important dates such as Orientation, enrolment, grade release, and Census date.
Follow your campus Facebook group to find out the latest news and events, student achievements, and essential information. Best of all, you can ask questions and help your fellow students who may need advice.
Orientation is packed with events, workshops and information sessions that will help you get ready for your studies and know where to go and what to do. Semester 1 2022 Orientation takes place on 21-25 February.
