National Sorry Day Commemoration - May 25

14 May 2018

National Sorry Day commemorations across USC will be held this Friday 25 May leading into Reconciliation Week (27 May -3 June 2018). As part of USC’s Reconciliation Action Plan, a range of cultural awareness activities will be held for USC students and staff.

Hand in hand, we heal

National Sorry Day is a very significant day for Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and particularly for Stolen Generations survivors.
USC would like to respectfully commemorate National Sorry Day.

Official Commemorations on 25 May - USC Sunshine Coast

10:30am: Elders, community, and students are invited to join to come together, share and connect over morning tea at the Sorry Day Garden.

Location: Sorry Day Garden, Main Entrance Flag Poles

11:30am: Amnesty International, National Sorry Day Campaign.

Location: Brasserie Lawn Area.

Libraries across USC campuses will also be holding book displays as part of National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week.
