Two to three mornings a week from 7am to 8am at home in the study room.

Must be good with children, have good teaching skills, be on time and have your own transport.

The Aurora Internship Program offers paid placements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and graduates to undertake internships with Indigenous organisations and other organisations working in the Indigenous sector.

The Aurora Internship Program offers a compelling opportunity to bring your university studies to life. We arrange 4-6 week long internships Australia-wide with Indigenous sector organisations involved in native title, justice, policy, community development, social welfare and research. Interns gain valuable work experience and a foot in the door to further opportunities, all the while bringing vital capacity benefits to strengthen under-resourced Indigenous sector organisations.

The Program arranges placements for students and graduates with backgrounds in law, social sciences (anthropology, archaeology, community development, cultural heritage, environmental management, education, history, human geography, Indigenous studies, media/communications and sociology) as well as health science and social welfare (including social work and psychology). There are also a handful of opportunities available to candidates with film, music and creative arts, as well as STEM related fields.

The brief is to come up with a simple fake product and then to create two documents about the product:

  • A short marketing brochure (including technical specs);
  • A manual on how to use and/or maintain the product.

This will involve layout (must be in InDesign), graphic work (images, illustrated diagrams etc.) and copywriting. It could possibly be a joint effort for two students from different disciplines, and would suit people interested in technology, publishing, and technical writing/documentation.

  • examining the benefits and costs associated with proposed changes to the NCC
  • assisting in the review and assessment of NCC referenced documents including Australian Standards and documents proposed for referencing in the NCC.
