New Colombo Plan Scholarship

The Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan (NCP) Scholarship is a prestigious grant that supports students to study for a semester or two, and undertake internships and language training, in one of 40 host countries in Asia and the Pacific

The scholarship covers:

  • Tuition and Study materials allowance
  • Travel
  • Monthly living allowance
  • Health and travel insurance
  • In-country language training

Total value up to $67,000

Students can apply if they are:

  • An Australian Citizen
  • Enrolled at USC in a Bachelor or Honours Degree
  • Aged between 18-28 (inclusive) on 1 January 2021
  • Have a GPA of 6 and above
  • Nominated by USC

Interested students should send an expression of interest with a copy of their current academic transcript to by 22 May 2020. Nominations for the competitive NCP Scholarship open on 24 June and formal applications open on 22 July 2020. Prior to that, students must attend an informal interview with the USC Short term Mobility Grants Team. Students will be mentored through the nomination and application process.
