Are you studying and looking after a loved one?

If you care for a family member or friend with an illness, disability or mental health issues, you could be eligible for one of the 1,000's of bursaries available to young people juggling study and care. The Young Carers Bursary offers A$3,000 towards continuing your study.

To apply you must be a young carer:

  • aged 12 - 25 years old for the entire time you're receiving the bursary,
  • studying at high school level or beyond, up to and including your first undergraduate degree*,
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and
  • not receiving another scholarship.

*Undergraduate degrees include: advanced diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees as well as bachelor degrees with honours.

Applications for Young Carer Bursary Program 2021 close at 5pm on 8 September 2020 AEST.
