Bike security on campus

16 Jul 2020

A reminder to all Bike Hub and End of Trip facility users on campus to keep safety in mind when using these facilities.

Always ensure your bike is completely locked up including wheels and frame even when parked in a Hub, and that any personal items are also secured.

When using the lock-up Bike Hub, do not allow anyone else to follow you into this facility. Instead, let them use the swipe access to ensure there is a record for security purposes.

There have been some recent attempts to steal property from these facilities, so please report any suspicious behaviour to SafeUSC by phone: 5430 1168 or use the SafeZone app.

You may wish to register your bike with Queensland Police or mark it in a way that identifies it as your property.

For more information visit Vehicle and Bike Security on the Queensland Police website.
