Ride2USC Day

28 Oct 2021

Wednesday 10 November is Ride2Work Day so USC Sunshine Coast will be hosting a Ride2USC Day. Riding to USC not only promotes health benefits (mental and physical) but also helps reduce emissions from commuting by car.

What is USC Sunshine Coast doing for Ride2USC Day?

Come along to our free bike clinic in the morning from 8.30am to 12.30pm, and a morning breakfast sausage sizzle. These will be held on the lawn outside the Brasserie. All you have to register by emailing sustainability@usc.edu.au your name to ensure we have catering covered for everyone.

What are bike clinics?

USC holds free bike clinics at the USC Sunshine Coast campus each semester for students to learn how to maintain and repair their bikes. A mechanic/trainer will service your bike and offer advice on how to clean, maintain and carry out basic bike repairs, and on bike controls, usage and bike fitting.

Planning to ride to campus?

The USC Sunshine Coast campus is designed with active transport (cycling) in mind. There are multiple cycle and pedestrian access points onto campus. The campus has ample storage for bicycles, including a Bike Hub and secure bike storage facilities.

All USC campuses have some form of bike parking, lockers and showers that can be found on each campus map. These facilities are free but as lockers are limited and USC wants to ensure the security of our enclosed bike storage facilities, you are required to complete the online application form (applicable to Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Fraser Coast campuses only).

Want to be social?

Are you looking for a cycling buddy? Take the opportunity to network with other cyclists and join them on their rides. If you want to join a cycling group, or just learn more about it, join us for Ride2USC Day.
