Alex Sharp is a registered social worker with over eight years experience in the field. Alex has worked with both children and adults in a therapeutic setting. She has specialised in the field of sexual assault, contributed to research and written prevention programs to increase public awareness about child sexual abuse.

Alex supervises USC social work students in professional workplace learning. She contributes to the Bachelor of Social Work and Human Service and Counselling degrees coordinating, lecturing and teaching across the following areas:

  • Ethics in Professional Practice
  • Social Work Theory and Practice
  • Health Society and Culture
  • Working with Families
  • Trauma Bereavement and Crisis Counselling

Additionally, Alex works with Student Wellbeing to support the mental health of students and provide practical assistance to enhance student learning.
