Remembrance Day message

This Remembrance Day marks the 100th anniversary of the First World War Armistice, which ended the war.

I encourage all staff and students to wear a poppy and pause for a minute's silence at 11am on Sunday 11 November to remember 102,000 Australians who paid the supreme sacrifice.

I will remember them and the wonderful young men who were lost on my watch when I was Chief of the Defence Force.

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK, AFC (Ret'd)
