Dr Trudi Flynn joined USC in 2018 as Lecturer in Counselling. Trudi is an integrative art therapist, and a research and teaching academic. She has over ten years’ experience in applied therapeutic practice within Australia and the UK, working across the fields of adolescent and adult substance dependence, eating disorders, palliative care, and within the broader community setting. Trudi completed her PhD in the field of psychosocial epidemiology, and later, her post-doctoral research fellowship in mental health. Researched areas included mental health education, and schools-based mental health promotion. Trudi has most recently held a role as Research Fellow within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine at USC, and is currently developing research in arts-based expressive therapies, and hospital-based services.
