Graeme Smyth joined the School of Communication and Creative Industries at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the role of associate lecturer, Serious Games, in February 2016.

Graeme has worked as a graphic designer and animator in the industry for 16 years for various studios. Wanting to get reaquainted with the ocean on a more regular basis, Graeme moved back to the Sunshine Coast, taking on the role of a 3D design tutor at USC, going on to being involved in the inception of the Serious Games program and later contributing to the art-based coursework.

Graeme's main interest is in all forms of graphic design and animation, helping artists to realise their potential to create artwork.

In his spare time, Graeme is an avid surfer and sports fanatic.
