Daniel Mellifont loves learning and seeing others grow through learning.

His work focuses on developing the nexus of innovation in practice, research and learning. Hence, Daniel's teaching and course development focuses on inspiring learning through real life questions, skills and solutions based on a framework of professionalism, ethics, science and evidence.

Daniel is a registered physiotherapist and an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) titled Sports Physiotherapist. As an advocate for the role physiotherapy and exercise in optimising health, he strongly endorses the APA’s philosophy - 'Move well, Stay well.'

His experience includes roles as a clinician and manager with multidisciplinary health care organisations in both the public and private sectors. His current work explores the evidence supporting, and tensions between, clinical care, sport and performance.

Daniel's research was first published in 2012. He looks forward to sharing the results of his ongoing clinical biomechanics and sports medicine learning and teaching projects.
