Dr Kendall George has an extensive background both as a registered nurse and midwife and has worked in many diverse clinical areas including; intensive care, rural and remote and emergency nursing. Kendall has practised midwifery in a range of models including large tertiary health care settings, team midwifery and private practice.
Kendall commenced teaching at USC in 2008 and has worked in roles as a clinical facilitator, researcher, tutor, lecturer and course coordinator. Currently Kendall is working as a Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery and is a Visiting Research Fellow (Maternal and Child Health) at the Sunshine Coast Hospital Health Service. Kendall's PhD study was titled "The Parenting Premmies Support Program: developing and piloting a mobile health intervention for mothers of preterm infants". Kendall is passionate about maternal and child health, in particular the relationship between mother and child and normalising infant behaviour.
