Terri Downer commenced in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine in 2010. She has an extensive clinical background as both a registered nurse and midwife having worked in both the UK and Australia. Terri is currently completing her PhD, titled Exploring Antenatal Education: An Interpretive Description. She is the Program Coordinator for the dual degree in Nursing and Midwifery.
Terri is currently the Faculty Blended Learning Lead for FoSHEE and has been involved in the development of online blended learning resources including ePortfolios, videos, QR codes and support material to enhance student learning. Having a keen interest in the integration of blended learning principles into the curriculum has meant that Terri has developed advanced skills in digital literacy and ePortfolios for which she has been asked to collaborate and speak at conferences locally, nationally and internationally. Terri is a reviewer for Elsevier journals and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
