Annual USC art exhibition PARADIGM: The shape of things to come

25 October 2017

The impressive digital design work and commercial graphic portfolios of advanced-level Design students at USC will go on display in an exhibition opening at the University’s Art Gallery at 6.30pm on Friday 3 November.

The annual portfolio exhibition, this year called PARADIGM: The shape of things to come, incorporates graphic design, animation, illustration, magazine layouts, web sites, digital prints and e-media produced by the students over the past three years.

The public are welcome to attend the exhibition’s official opening.

USC Art Gallery Manager Megan Williams said PARADIGM would showcase the creative work and broad range of concepts created by USC students who are about to embark on careers in the creative industries.

“This innovative exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for industry representatives to see examples of the work being produced by the latest group of talented designers here at USC,” Ms Williams said.

“We are delighted to welcome professional photographer, judge and guest speaker Fi McGhee of Fi Australia, to officially open this year’s event.

“Cash prizes for outstanding portfolios are awarded at the exhibition opening night, which adds to the excitement of the event.”

The exhibition will be on display from Friday 3 November until Saturday 18 November at the USC Gallery.

The gallery is located at the University campus on Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs. It is open free to the public from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, and is closed Sundays and public holidays and during exhibition changeovers.
