As student numbers grew, campus life turned from tentative to bustling. For many involved in USC's early success, the University was destined to become much more than a degree or a job.
It was a place where dreams were formed, furthered – and fulfilled.
Over 20 years, more than 15,700 have taken their knowledge to the world. 1,500 didn't stop at one degree.

First graduation ceremony
See USC's first graduates receive their awards at the first ever USC Graduation ceremony, held on 13 April 1999. The event was held in a marquee at the Sippy Downs campus.

In 2010, Dean of Business Professor Evan Douglas rode a Segway (a personal transportation vehicle, or PTV) at Graduation. The Segway was one of the teaching tools he used to inspire budding entrepreneurs in his classes.

Pathways to university
USC's Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) has launched study success of students of all ages, encouraged whole families to attend university, and provided compassionate pathways for teenage mothers.
