Pre-conference event — Writing Retreat

All spaces for the writing retreat have been filled.

As part of the showcase we invite delegates to attend a one day writing retreat on Thursday 27 September at the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Sippy Downs campus.

The retreat will run from 9.30-4.30pm and includes morning tea and lunch.

The academic writing retreat provides a structured and supportive space to progress academic writing through a guided workshop format with reduced distractions and focused writing time.

Participants must bring all notes, plans, and resources necessary for their specific writing task.

The facilitator will guide participants in their writing strategies, intermingled with quiet writing time to execute the skills learnt.

The writing retreat will be facilitated by Dr Ginna Brock, lecturer in English and Creative Writing at USC.
