QUES Call for proposals

We invite proposals for presentations, posters and research collaborations.

Presentations and posters must address one or more of the three aspects of the Showcase theme, through innovative practice in higher education or research into teaching and learning. We encourage presentations and posters that have been presented at a previous conference or are based on an existing publication.

1. Presentations

Presentations are invited via your institution. Your QPEN representative will invite submissions and organise the required institutional endorsement. The call for presentations is now closed.

2. Posters

Posters addressing innovative teaching practice or research into higher education teaching are welcome. Posters previously presented are particularly welcome. Maximum poster size is A0 (portrait) or A1 (landscape) and should be brought on the day. Poster presentations will take place during the lunch break.

Poster proposals should use the Poster Proposal Form.

Proposals for posters should include an abstract of between 300 and 400 words (including any references). The abstract should describe:

  1. Background/context
  2. The initiative/practice
  3. Research method (if relevant)
  4. Evidence of outcomes and effectiveness
  5. Details of any references

3. Collaboration Pitches

To facilitate future networking on SoTL projects, we invite submissions for collaboration pitches. These will be presented and discussed in a World Café format, with presenters delivering their pitch to several small groups.

Proposals for collaboration pitches should include an abstract of between 300 and 400 words (including any references). Your abstract will be included in the program and should be written to attract collaborators. Details required include:

  1. Background/context and work completed to date
  2. Description of proposed project including timeframe and role of collaborators
  3. Rationale
  4. Benefits of participation
  5. Details of any references

Collaboration pitch proposals should use the Collaboration Pitch Form.

Please ensure all proposals are submitted through the relevant submission forms.
