In this course you will study a diverse range of current issues in the field of crime and criminal justice in Australia. You will develop advanced skills in research, analysis, evaluation and communication in the management of policy debates. Research tasks will include engagement with Media sources, government reviews and scientific research, including relevant material from overseas. Topics include sentencing issues, alleged miscarriages of justice, responses to environmental crimes, and responses to institutional abuses.
