Not offered until Semester 1 2022 This course offers both theoretical and practical approaches for students to learn about the basic building blocks of an embedded system. It introduces embedded systems architecture, design methodology, interfacing and embedded programming. Students are presented with the foundation of embedded system design and programming by developing a microcontroller-based embedded system application. Topics covered include peripheral devices, interrupts, direct memory access (DMA), assembly language, communications and data acquisition.
